Pros and cons of Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey app for iPhone and iPad

Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey app good for

Excellent game and design. Saving is slightly confusing. Last time i was offline and played for awhile and when i logged in again all my progress were lost, it would be nice to add a manual save or just tell you when is it saving. Aside from that i very much admire the one time purchase business choice.
Beautiful game with great battle mechanics that are simple to learn, but can be deep. Music adds a whole other level to level grinding through areas. Great game!
This game is gorgeous, the music is great and the story is interesting. The turn-based combats are exciting and beautiful to look at. The cutscenes are a plus, but with no voiceacting and no sound effects (just music). The main problem is with the saving system. There is no way to know if youre connected to the server or not. Even if I played this game connected on the Internet 100% of the time, I lost 2 hours of my playtime because the game didnt save. Its impossible to know when its actually saving... I found that if the options menu is unavailable, its because Im not connected to the server... But why did the game disconnect if Im still connected to the Internet? I play on a iPad Air 2, please fix this for an otherwise great game. Thank to Kobojo for this game and keep up the good work!
Good game, amazing ost, one thing I gotta point out is the interface in combat .. The text and the combat actions are too small on iphone 5s..you can barely read what it says please fix
First time in 5 years im doing a rate this game is awsome lvl 9999999 Eveything is perfect arround 8/10 hours gameplay cant wait for extension and new caracter/zodiac Kind of game you gna pay 45$ for gameboy or console
Pros: + Beautiful artistic graphics + Nice modern combat UI + Impressively well made cutscenes + Nice looking world + Unique JRPG game + Great music, sound and special effects Cons: - Game is not even finished. - Not much freedom of exploration - No maps. Overal: 4.5/5 [Really Good] Note: With this update, it appears that the bugs have been fixed and it now runs smoothly. It seems that the continuation of the game will come through IAP, which sounds weird since 10$ has already been paid. Im assuming that the episodes will be free for those who already paid for the app, if thats not the case then I believe that this app would only deserve a rating of two stars for inaccurate information at launch. I hope the new episodes come out soon!

Some bad moments

Seriously, this game is actually a dead game. The developers havent updated this game in months when it ISNT EVEN VERSION 1.0. The game is nowhere near finished, and thats not just talking about bugs and glitches, it actually IS NOT COMPLETE. You get about 5 hours worth of game until it says "sorry, we released an unfinished game, wait for an update". Its been much too long without updates to put any faith into this "game" at all. You could buy Shin Megami Tensei or any of the Final Fantasy games if you really want a good RPG on iOS that are actually complete games that last more than 5 hours. Dont buy this game. Youre basically paying for a beta version of a dead game.
This game simply does not work. The bugs render it unusable and also the creators will not finish the game as promised. Same your money for something else!
This game is the reason why Ive stopped believing in the App Store Editors Choice, and why Ive stopped buying games at launch ... Its a mediocre game at best, unfinished and... Forget it...
Game is unfinished and should never have been released. Also, it appears the developers have no intention of finishing it. This game feels like some lofty investment that missed its release date, so they took what they had and packaged it up with a great marketing ploy that said it was a great, immersive RPG. The truth is that the battle system really has little depth, the characters personalities are vapid, and the storyline accounts for a bunch of different species that dont like each other in a way that would ultimately define itself as racism. On top of everything else, its riddled with bugs that not only crash the game, but can set you back hours (say if the crash occurred at the end of a labyrinth, youd had to start over with nothing to show for it). Its not worth $8.99, maybe if it were $0.99, Id say it was worth it. Id estimate that this game is worth about 10 hours of entertainment, but in the end, youll feel like its 10 hours you can never get back in addition to what you spent for it.
With iphone 6+ and fiber connection. Incredibly incorrect from the devs.
Currently prison level: The graphic and music are nice, but... - the main character is way too weak for regular battles and his attacks miss the enemy about 50%... kinda sad for a protagonist - theres a bug, that the damage count is not displayed during battle; little confusing to not know if damage was taken or not - the appeareance rate of enemys is way too low! How are you supposed to level the weakling protagonist, if the beaten enemys dont reappear for you to train your team??? - the story progresses veeeery slow in comparison to most rpg ios games... ZzzZzz Its kinda annoying to play this game with the above mentioned facts. Probably worth deleting at the moment. Money unfortunately wasted tho-.-
